Exploring LyonWe spend a lot of our free time continuing to explore Lyon. It's fun living in a place that you never get tired of. We've walked most every street in the city but enjoy it as much as the first time we were there... And of course Joey is always along with us for our Lyon adventures. ![]() We went to an "American" Restaurant in Lyon. That was our first mistake. I ordered the "Chicken Tortillas" from the menu and this is what was brought back to me. I thought it was a mistake and told them this wasn't my food but it was in fact "the chicken tortillas." So bizzare... That was the first and last time of trying to eat American food in the food capital of the world! One of our favorite places to walk with Joey is on the banks along the river. Will's BirthdayValentine's DayBasketballLast weekend was bittersweet, as it was the end of Will's basketball career. Although he'll continue playing for fun in the future, he played his final official game. Around 10 years ago, a high schooler in Lyon France dreamed of playing basketball in America. I've always loved basketball and secretly hoped to marry a basketball player (lol), but I never knew how God would fit that into my story. Because of this sport, God led Will to the US, to HIM, to me, and to this incredible life we've built together. And he's been able to go full circle in returning to France and playing semi-pro the past few years. 6.5 years of cheering this guy on... Thankful for the memories but also very excited for new dreams and for his body to finally have some needed rest. Here is a video of some of Will's 2018-2019 season highlights JoeyJust some cute pictures of our model dog around Lyon
