ItalyItaly become the 6th country I've been to, even though we were only there for a few hours. When we left Monaco, we drove through the Alps in Italy and under Mont Blanc to return back to France. The AlpsThe Alps were so beautiful. I had no expectations for what they would be like so I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't have anything planned until our hotel that night, so it was nice to just stop at random places and stumble upon lakes, waterfalls, and other cool spots.

Yes, I do love Nice!!!! Nice quickly became one of my favorite places I've ever been! (Second after Annecy, France) We enjoyed the beach, walking the Promenade des Anglais, and checking out the incredible view from so many different places.
Calanque de SormiouThe best parts of Marseille seem to be the Calanques and the Old Port area. We took dad to a new Calanque that we hadn't been before and it was beautiful! At most of the Calanques in Marseille, you reach a point where you have to park your car and walk the rest of the way. This one was 35 minutes there and 50 back, but worth every bit of the hike!
I was SO excited to share Lyon with Dad. We love this city so much and were so excited to share the excitement. We had 4 days to visit Lyon, so we crammed in all of our favorite spots to make sure he saw everything! We ended up walking a total of around 28.2 miles and biked a few miles as well!
At 6am on July 6th, I left Lyon and headed on my first train ride to Paris to meet dad! We ended up finding each other around 10:00 and began our exciting day in Paris. It was both our first time in Paris so it was fun to explore it together. I wasn't a huge fan of the city but was happy to at least be able to experience it and finally see what I thought for myself. We had a ton of fun and were able to find our way around with my french and with our maps! We walked 12 miles and biked a few as well.
