Sharing all about our Holidays the past 2 months! ThanksgivingWill's family asked me this year if we could celebrate Thanksgiving, since they had never experienced it before. I was a little overwhelmed by the idea of cooking an entire Thanksgiving meal by myself for 7 people. I spent a few days preparing traditional Thanksgiving dishes and somehow pulled it off! This was also Will's first time cutting a turkey. (Which we had to pre-order because they don't sell them in stores.) It was their first time eating a turkey like this, super fun! Lyon Light Festival One of my highlights from the 2016 year was the Light Festival in Lyon... Although it's a very crowded and cold event, we couldn't miss it this past December either. Here are some of my favorite photos! Christmas MarketAnother thing I really enjoyed this Christmas season was the Christmas market in Lyon. Love getting to eat and buy homemade food and gifts. I would love to visit other European cities at Christmas time to check out larger Christmas markets. SnowIt usually NEVER snows in Lyon but somehow we had two days with snow in the last few weeks, one even giving us a snow day from work. ChristmasWe had another great Christmas this year. We spent Christmas eve celebrating with Will's family. We had an incredible dinner with amazing escargot and oysters. I loved the escargot but was totally not a fan of the oysters. They tasted too much like I was eating straight from the ocean! (A little too salty for me) On Christmas day, we spent the morning watching our favorite Christmas movies and then got to Facetime my family for a few hours to open gifts and watch some NBA games. Super fun! New Years EveWe had a really fun New Years Eve with Will's brother, sister, and his brother's girlfriend. We had a seafood meal and planned a game night. A great way to begin the new year! I also have a video on my Facebook of me eating a giant escargot. I'm not a fan of the big ones but the small ones are pretty good! YOU
