August 7th, 2015 - Our Special Day
As we began planning our wedding, we had 3 goals: Small, personal, & simple. We had 53 people there, including Will & I, our bridal party, 4 babies(!), Tony (Our Officiant) our families, and our closest friends.
All the decorations came from a friend, my apartment, or from
things that I/friends made.
My awesome sister put the photobooth together. We didn't have a color theme. The bridesmaids chose their own dresses and styles, and all the decorations were a variety of colors. We wanted a travel theme. The flowers were wild flowers picked that morning.
As we began looking for a place to have the wedding, we knew we wanted it outside. We ended up choosing a place just a mile down the road from my parents house. A family my dad knew was so very generous & let us use their gazebo and property. Our reception was in my parents backyard. The weather was perfect: Clear skies, and just the right temperature.
We had SO much fun with our bridal party! We had each of our sisters and brothers, along with one friend.

Tony Brackemyre officiated our wedding. We couldn't have chosen anyone better to do this... Our day was so much more special because of the amazing
We decided before the wedding that we wanted to see each other before the actual ceremony. We ended up spending the entire morning decorating outside together. Once we got ready, we were able to share this special, "first look" moment, just the two of us. (And our photographer!) It took the pressure off and we were able to relax the rest of the day.
Once we got to the ceremony location, we had our bridal party, and our immediate family all in one room. So untraditional but we loved it!
Will's family was able to fly to the States for our wedding. They spent Sunday-Wednesday in New York, and came Wednesday night to Ohio. His parents, siblings, grandparents, and God mother came!

that I would be a bride who actually sat down and ate her food. And I did. We spent time laughing with our bridal party, had delicious food, many games for people to play, music from my iphone, snow-cones, a photobooth, and a relaxed evening. We ended the night cutting the cake, packing our honeymoon bags, and leaving with a sparkler exit. THE PERFECT DAY.
